The above is the First amendment to the Constitution of the USA .
You can call it as you may. The amendment simply states that our Government can not establish a state run religion. Providing funds for the religion or any thing connect to a religion. Church run school in some parts of the USA are fund church school. Other churches are exempt From receiving Government Funding.
No were does the First say a religion person can not serve in they Government position or be elected as an official of that Government. This amendment states that a official of the Government can not impose their Beliefs on others. They still can share their beliefs. But that has been taken away by renaming as the separation of church amendment.
there by taking a person elected or employed any Government of the USA. County, State, Federal.
They are taking Religion out of the nation. No prayer in school.
Our Freedom of speech is a guarantee of our freedoms. When the bad guys take over a government the first two thing they wish to control is religion and the news papers. Also the right to assemble is curtailed.
